Battery Backup: Provides battery backup for the CPU’s super capacitor, extending the data retention time of the user program, data blocks, and retentive memory areas when main power is lost.

Real-Time Clock (RTC): Adds a battery-backed hardware clock to the CPU for accurate time stamping of events, logs, and time-based control functions.
